E+L+E+C+T+R+I+C

After an enjoy trip last week, we back to our workshop to continue what we left before. Finished with our circuit now we moved to electric part. In this session, im partner with Firdaus. We will assembly our own extension wire and pendaflour lamp. First, our lab instructor, Mr.Redzuan show us how to connect all the wire needed. He says we need to be careful because we deal with electricity that can cause serious problem if we play with it.

To make extension plug we need extension wire,socket and plug . To assembly inside plug box is not difficult but when it comes to plugr, here the real problem because the space is so small and we need to connect three different kind of wire which are earth, live and natural. We need to be precise and careful because it can cause shock circuit if not being assembly properly. For the plug the wire need to be attach to their own leg so that it can function properly. Earth, life and natural wire position can be check by the paper that attach together with the new lug header. From the front view, the earth is on top, life always in the right while natural on the left. If we can remember this position it will be a lot more easier to us to assembly those plug header. After connect all three component together, here our extension wire, DONE.

NEXT is to assembly pendaflour lamp. Mr. Redzuan tell us that we can assembly this type of lamp both parallel and series. First, we assembly using parallel connection. The tricky part is where are you going to connect the wire but lucky that Mr. Redzuan showed us first on how to assembly it. We can see the connection of parallel at the choke. After finished connecting all those wire, now come again the hard part to connect the wire with the plug. Same as before, the problem is how to connect the wire in small space but somehow we managed to connect it. Our, firs testing was fail because we misplaced the wire inside the plug header and after we identify the mistake and repair it our lamp can function properly. Next for the series connection, we need to change the choke and uses series choke because the current is different from the parallel. Besides the choke, we also need to connect it to series power supply if not the lamp will blow away. After tested and working well now we are really done.
